§ Moreton Island 3 Day chill out tour Departs: Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Exit Brisbane at 6:30am – Return 6:30pm. Exit Scarborough at 8:00am – Return 5:30pm. Exit Gold Coast 5:30am – Return 7:30pm. Exit Sunshine Coast 5:30am – Returns 7:30pm. The Three Day Chill out Tour allows time to relax on the beautiful beaches besides sparkling crystal clear water. Pelicans and sea birds frolic in the surroundings. Day One: After being placed in your unit, we cruise down the western beach, to view the 1800’s Historical Grave site, and then through the sleepy town of Cowan Cowan. We then travel through the tall eucalypt forest to the desert, a natural sand blow, for some adrenalin pumping sand boarding, after you’ve had enough sand for one day; we head to the Tangalooma wrecks for some Pristine snorkeling to view some of the most beautiful tropical fish. Relax by the soothing waters of Moreton Bay, or climb the giant sand Dunes of False patch. After a relaxing day we head home for a tropical island dinner to and relax a little more. Day Two: We trek South in our Moreton 4WD, to the Southern end of the island passing the Mirror Pool which is a breeding ground for migrating Sea Birds, we the head past Mangrove to the township of Kooringal, where we can have an ice-cream or a coldie from the famous Gutter Bar. Heading back to the Eastern Beach beside the mighty Pacific Ocean, we explore the big and little sand hills 3kms wide of natural sand blow. Heading back across the middle road, we come across Mt Tempest, the highest coastal sand dune in the world. After a long day of pure pristine beauty, we head back to Bulwer passing through the Eucalypt Forest, past the wetlands surrounded by malaluca trees. Just to top the day off we’ll take a seat on the beautiful beach, with a nice cold drink, watching the breathtaking afternoon sunset over the Glasshouse Mountains. Day Three: After a tropical breakfast we head across the Northern end of the island to Five Hills Lookout, where you can see the North Coasts Bribie Island. We then take in the north point, Honeymoon Bay, where we can swim, body board or just relax. After we have eaten lunch, we head up to the Cape Moreton Lighthouse, to spot some Dolphins, turtles, manta rays and humpback whales (June – October).We then visit the National Parks Information Centre, in one of the old lighthouse keepers houses. We travel down the eastern Beach past the aboriginal Middens to the Blue Lagoon, for a soothing swim, just to top the day off. After a relaxing afternoon, its time to head back to Bulwer to catch the ferry for a cruise across Moreton Bay to the mainland. Whilst on the island you stay in dorm style units. Day 1: lunch & dinner, day 2: breakfast, lunch & Dinner and day 3: breakfast & lunch, ferry and national parks fees are all included in this tour. |
